Jane Costello The Time of Our Lives

Three best friends. One five-star hotel. Will it be the holiday of a lifetime . . .?
Imogen and her friends Meredith and Nicola have had their fill of budget holidays, cattle-class flights and 6 a.m. offensives for a space by the pool.
So when Meredith wins a VIP holiday at Barcelona’s hippest new hotel, they plan to sip champagne with the jet set, party with the glitterati and switch off in unapologetic luxury. But when the worst crisis of her working life erupts back home, Imogen has to juggle her BlackBerry with a Manhattan, while soothing a hysterical boss and hunting down an AWOL assistant.
Between a robbery, a run-in with hotel security staff and an encounter on a nudist beach that they’d all rather forget, the friends stumble from one disaster to the next. At least Imogen has a distraction in the form of the gorgeous guy who’s always in the right place at the very worst time. Until, that is, his motives start to arouse a few suspicions . . .

My Review

This is the first book I have read of Jane’s and what a book to start on. There were so many laugh out loud moments  (one legged naked geography teachers)  and amazing friends Meredith and Nicola who had fantastic personalities with some fantastic one-liners and stories of their own. The book boyfriend potential the very sexy Harry.  I also loved the emotional heartbreaking journey I was taken on. I devoured this book in less then 2 days. This certainly won’t be my last Jane Costello book and ”The Wish List is already on my TBR pile

Two Weddings and a Baby by Scarlett Bailey

There is no better way to pop my Book Blog Cherry then reviewing Scarlett Bailey Two Weddings and a Baby

Tamsyn Thorne has not been back to her home town of Poldore for five long years.

But now her brother, Ruan, is about to get married and she has no excuses left.

Her plans to arrive in Cornwall looking chic and successful are dashed when a huge storm turns her from fashion goddess to a drowned rat. Worse, she ends up insulting the local hunky vicar – and then finds a tiny baby abandoned in his churchyard.

If you have not read Just For Christmas yet, I would recommend you read this first. Then the  story will make sense.

I really loved being back in Poledore again. I  read ”Just for Christmas” and couldn’t wait to read this. It took me a couple of chapters to warm to Tamsyn   but that certainly changed the further into the book I got.

I loved the character Jed  every Village Town & City needs a Hot Vicar like him and throughout the book you can see he not just your typical Village vicar

It was also lovely also to catch up with Alex and Ruan but they are not central to the story but did finish their story

I really hope there will be another book based in Poledore very soon

My first review gets 5 out of 5 stars
