Fay Merryweather runs her cake shop from her beautiful garden. She whips up airy sponges and scrumptious scones, while her customers enjoy the lovely blossoms and gorgeous blooms. Looking after the cake shop, the garden and her cantankerous mother means Fay is always busy but she accepts her responsibilities because if she doesn’t do all this, who will? Then Danny Wilde walks into her life and makes Fay question every decision she’s ever made. When a sudden tragedy strikes, Fay’s entire world is thrown off balance even further and she doesn’t know which way to turn. Can Fay find the strength to make a life-changing decision – even if it means giving up the thing she loves the most? Life, love and family are about to collide in The Cake Shop in the Garden.
This is a perfect summer holiday read or a perfect winter read when you are sat by the fire desperate for summer to come.
I really enjoyed the story-line and I felt the pace for this book was just perfect, if it was anymore fast paced I think you would of lost the heart and soul of the story. Fay Merryweather (what a fab name) is such a dear character and I just wanted to shout at her for being such a drip and a doormat and letting these people just walk straight over her. As for Danny Wilde I mean HELLO 😉 he defiantly is in the running of book boyfriend of 2015.Oh and the twist well you won’t see it coming I didn’t
what more can I say apart from I Loved this book and I would love for there to be another book set here maybe Christmas at the cake shop in the Garden HINT HINT 🙂
